Financial Aid

BRIGHT FUTURES

The Florida Bright Futures Scholarship Program is a state-funded, merit-based scholarship that helps Florida high school graduates pay for postsecondary education based on their academic performance in high school. Bright Futures offers multiple award levels with varying eligibility requirements and award amounts, and it can significantly reduce the cost of tuition and fees at colleges, universities, and eligible career programs in Florida. Learn more about how to qualify, apply, and plan for Bright Futures by exploring the links below.

FEDERAL AID

The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is the primary way students apply for federal financial aid to help pay for college or eligible postsecondary programs. Completing the FAFSA allows students to be considered for grants, work-study, and federal student loans, and it is also required by many colleges and scholarship programs. Students and families are encouraged to complete the FAFSA as early as possible to maximize available aid. Use the links below to learn more about eligibility, timelines, and how to complete the application.

CSS PROFILE

The College Board CSS Profile is an additional financial aid application used by many selective and private colleges and universities to award institutional aid. Unlike the FAFSA, the CSS Profile provides schools with a more detailed picture of a family’s financial situation and is required by some colleges to determine eligibility for need-based grants and scholarships. Students applying to schools that require the CSS Profile should complete it in addition to the FAFSA.
